On Aug. 13, 2022, Jim Walter went on a fishing trip to Yankton, S.D. with his son. He received a call later that day that changed his life.
His grandson, Gage Walter, murdered his wife and mother-in-law.
Two years later, Jim Walter has had to learn how to live in their absence. His grandson was found criminally insane by the court, but Jim and the rest of the Walter family believe he isn't insane and instead think a history of drugs led him to murder his grandmother.
